Day 1:


    Today, was a fatigued day. It involved us all traveling from Methodist College to Chicago, arriving to our hotel where we had the opportunity to rest up before our long day of continued traveling the following day, this time to our final destination....PANAMA!! Between arriving to the Hotel and arriving to Panama so much happened. During this time, we all had the opportunity start getting used to not having any personal space. The ride to the hotel was not bad, we all had our own seats, made plenty of bathroom stops, and slept or gossiped the entire ride. I was lucky and shared the hotel room with people I already knew, which also was not bad or at least not as awkward to see personal space. 

    This was an extra long day not only physically but also emotionally; as this is the first time I traveled without my children. I was not worried about traveling out of the country, instead about how my children would react with me being so far away and for what for them may seem like for an eternity! 

My daughter allowed me to take one of her favorite bears "Mr. Stinky will take care of you Mommy!" This being said, I will be blogging Mr. Stinkys' adventures in Panama! :)

  March 12th: Back to La Toza we went for our final clinical day! This was such an impactful and genuine unforgetable experience!  Here, I had to opportunity to experience working with the doctor. She did consultations on all her patients, while I was able to re-check blood pressures, give and instruct how to take de-wormers and just assisted with anything needed from the provider or patient.   Final Day:            Today, was our final day in Panama. We started with breakfast then headed to Panama City, prior to being dropped off at the airport. While Exploring Panama City we had a great adventure!       We had the opportunity to experience Panama Culture! Although, it was a minimal experience we had an amazing time and of course took tooo many pictures! LOL!!! I will never forget this grand experience and will value all the people and educational tools I experienced!         This experience was emotional, adventurous, eye opening, and allowed for great connections with new people from the school and of course the Panamanian community members!!!       I will forever value and keep close to my heart the genuine connections I made with the community people.   March 9th:        Our First day out in the community. Today was Survey Day! This was a long and eventful day! We started off with eating our first Panamanian Breakfast, traveled to our first community, returned to our resort and started on making "baggies" for the community people for our clinical days!      After a goods nights rest, my cabin and I are super excited to get the day started and see what the day will bring!
