Sunday March 8th:

Day 2 long and early start to another traveling day. My group arrived late to the airport! We woke up early and thought we would be early waiting for our shuttle to the airport but that was not the case. We believed we needed to be at the door at 0630 not 0600. The two groups had already left, so we had to get an uber to take us to the airport. Mr. Stinky reminded us to stay calm and that everything would be A-OKAY!! Which, it was we arrived to the airport with plenty of time to spare!

The plane ride to Panama was a long one (5 hours), which meant we got breakfast! I'd say Mr. Stinky really enjoyed h is breakfast because he left not even a crumb! Hours later once, we arrived to Panama, with it being everyones first time....there was a lot of confusion. Mr. Stinky and I got lost due to this confusion and not fully understanding how to get to customs, but again we finally made it! Mr. Stinky saw that someone from our group look super scared when she was pulled aside; which he assumed it was due to the materials being transported for our mission trip...he was brave and and spoke up to the security people. He told them who we are, and the reasoning to our trip and extra materials. His bravery made all the difference, and that student was able to return to our group without any further questioning. The student sighed of relief and returned to the group that had already passed customs.

The Global Brigades waited for us and greeted us all with excitement. We had been so tired and exhausted from the long trip and ready to be able to get settled to our new home for the next week. To our surprise, the ride would be another 3 hours!!!! After another long ride, we finally made it to our final destination! Exhausted but excited for what the following day would bring! :)
